Hi!
I’ve been feeling a bit on the edge lately. I took on more shifts at work than I probably should have this month, and unfortunately it’s taking a toll on both my mind and body. On my days off, I’m doing my best to rest and recharge, but sadly there hasn’t been much room left for creativity on my schedule. I really want to take better care of that part of myself, but for the spark to come back, I need to set myself a challenge, so that even when I’m feeling unmotivated and uninspired, I still have some goal to fulfill, a checkmark on my to-dos.
I have a whole lot of art supplies to go through. I think the first step would be to organize them, and keep them out within reach, so I’ll be ready whenever inspiration hits. I know it all starts with the right mindset, so I’m thinking of keeping some small art journal with me at work. I can use the downtime to doodle some ideas and thoughts that I can continue working on when I have more free time. I need to manage my energy levels better; art is the one thing that always made me feel alive, so I need to keep creating, especially when I’m feeling dead inside.
ACEO ideas

I used to make ACEOs RELIGIOUSLY few years ago. Those tiny card were perfect whenever I hit an art block. I just realy like this format – they’re small enough to finish in 2-3 hours, I can use all kinds of media, and I’m just really nostalgic about collectibles.
As a kid I used to collect those art print binder inserts – something pretty much every kid in Poland did around 2005. Not sure if that was a thing outside Poland though? I tried googling it, but the only references I found were on polish sites (picture below – not mine, but I still have my old binder somewhere up in the attic). I had hundreds of them, I was a W.I.T.C.H girl at heart, but I had some WINX Club and Disney series too.

Since I finished setting up my website (that is now the heart of my art project), I’ve discovered a new way to display my ACEOs to the world. The ones I’ve already posted were just cropped out of my old deviantart posts, but now I’m excited to dig through my collection and find the others, cuz I’ve made quite a few 🙂
I love the idea of organizing them into series and using custom backs for each one. I called this one The Temple, because it features goddesses. I’ve got some fresh ideas for a new series, so hopefully I’ll get to work on those soon 🙂
- Vibes (inspired by the scents I love, I’m a huge Bath & Body Works nerd)
- Moods (inspired by my own memories, you know… that feeling when kinda vibes hehe)
- Liminal Spaces / Distant Worlds (these tie directly to my main project)
In other news…
My website is pretty much ready 🙂 There is still room for some stylistic tweaks if I decide to, but what I have already is pretty much aligning with the original vision I had for my site 🙂 The only changes I have in mind right now are mostly about organizing the structure of my content better. I might add a shop section too later, for my prints and ACEO originals.
